Founding Member and current Director of the South Bay Parkland Conservancy (SBPC). SBPC is dedicated to enhancing and expanding public parks, recreation and open space in the South Bay Area. Current projects include rewilding Wilderness Park with California native plants, replanting and cleaning the North Redondo Right of Way, establishment and maintenance of the Esplanade Bluff Garden (California native plant demo garden), supporting the City of Redondo Beach in grant applications for parkland, establishing a Community Garden in the City of Redondo Beach.

Commissioner and Former Chairman of the Redondo Beach Harbor Commission. The Commission is made up of Redondo Beach residents who perform various advisory and administrative roles for the City of Redondo Beach.

Appointed Citizen’s Committee to help draft new General Plan including a new Housing Element, and Recreation and Parks Element for the City of Redondo Beach

Develop and execute Space market strategy across the company. Lead Business Development and strategy for DoD Space organizations such as USSF and SDA. Leads development and supports execution of cross company space strategy. Works with SAIC technology leads to target investment in technical solutions that meet emerging needs of space customers. Led update of company systems engineering processes to meet IEEE 15288 standard. Provides strategic direction to continued enhancement of SAIC digital engineering solutions including development of resilience evaluation environment. Leads capture for key pursuits.

BBR is a 501(c)-4 dedicated to protecting and enhancing resident quality of life by conducting education and activism. Drafted, qualified, and ran campaign for Measure DD… an initiative that gives voters of Redondo Beach the right to vote on major zoning changes in the City. Drafted the unsuccessful initiative to rezone the Redondo Beach power plant for a mix of commercial and parkland uses. Drafted the successful Measure C initiative to improve and clarify the zoning and Local Coastal Program for Redondo Beach’s harbor and pier area. Led successful lawsuit against City of Redondo Beach for violations of City Charter Article 16. Led successful appeal and lawsuit that stopped the illegal conversion of Redondo’s harbor and pier area into a mall. Intervened on California Energy Commission hearings related to AES’s attempt to rebuild a new power plant in Redondo Beach.

Set and executed corporate business development and marketing strategy of LinQuest from its first year of existence. Transitioned new contracts to operations. Ran new contracts and business areas that did not fit into existing org structure and incubated them into new self-sustaining operations units over time. Developed all LinQuest BD and marketing processes, tools and established BD/Capture staff from scratch. Developed and taught Corporate Culture brief and PM training courses as part of LinQuest University. Led ISO 9001 certification.

Appointed by Mayor Gin to a 23 member panel of residents to define the future growth management and traffic policies of the City of Redondo Beach. The panel drafted the current Circulation Element of the City of Redondo Beach General Plan.

Continued to run Space Systems and Operations group. Responsible for development and execution of GD AIS netcentric strategy.

Member of the Executive Committee for the South Bay Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. Project Manager on several projects including Pratt’s Reef, and Paddle Out Protest of the Playa Vista development on the Ballona Wetlands.

Continued to run Space Systems and Operations directorate. Chosen to be Large Account Manager for Space - Coordinated all space related business development activities and strategy across company. Ran Space Systems and Operations directorate. Codeveloper of internet based space system command and control system - VMOC/PGMM.

Promoted from PM, to Director, to VP, to Senior VP through performance and increasing responsibility. Ran Space Systems and Operations directorate. Developed and executed space related growth strategy across DoD, IC, NASA.

Worked a variety of positions including Space Shuttle Systems Engineer, Lead Space Shuttle Orbiter Project Engineer, Exchange Officer with Canadian Forces, Launch Integrator for SAFSP, Commander for classified network infrastructure serving launch systems and operations. Roles ranged from acquisition, to development and test, to operations and sustainment of ground and space flight systems and from engineer to Commander.
