Jim is one of Canada’s foremost and most versatile stage directors. He has four ongoing international tours. Jim was the founding Artistic Director of Canada’s renowned Crow’s Theatre. During its 30-year history, Crow’s has produced over 120 new works and numerous tours in Canada and abroad and is presently building a state of the art theatre in Toronto. Jim have directed projects across Canada as well as in Edinburgh, London, Dublin, Mexico City, Caracas, Seoul, and all over the U.S. including Off Broadway, Radio City Music Hall and Las Vegas. He has directed and designed 4 tours for the internationally acclaimed cult comedy troupe the Kids in The Hall, produced by SNL’s Lorne Michaels, which appeared on CBC in Canada and HBO in the U.S. His versatility and inventiveness has led him to major corporate clients as well. Jim was the author and Director of Scooby Doo Live on Stage which has had 3 North American tours, including a run at Radio City Music Hall, 3 U.K. tours and has been seen by over 17 million people. He conceived and adapted a new version of Peter and the Wolf with orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London at Christmas. Jim worked in Las Vegas and off Bway on Play Dead with Teller (from Penn and Teller) and Todd Robbins. For Mills Entertainment Jim created SPANK , the 50 Shades parody seen by 300k people and since produced in Australia, Poland and soon to open in Spain. Jim created Mythbusters LIVE with the television programme’s stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hynneman for Magicspace. As part of his ongoing relationship with Lee Marshall and Magicspace Entertainment he also created Alton Brown Live which is ongoing. A few of his other shows of note include show doctor for Spiderman: Turn out the Dark and writer.creator of Larry King: Standing Up. Jim has also held the positon of creative director at AEG Themestar. Jim was Creative Director of the international magic stage show The Illusionists which was on Broadway. He was co-creator of D Capella for Disney and is presently co-director and co-creator of A Magical Cirque Christmas. He recently directed Kid in the Hall, Bruce McCulloch off Bway and Carisa Hendrix in Indulgence at the new Rhapsody Theatre in Chicago.
