I began my career as a copper cable splicer in Manholes, aerial, vaults from sizes 50pr to 4200. Proficient in PULP identifying,and pic splicing with a 710 machine. proficient in converting older cases to 2-type "waffle"cases. In 1994 i began splicing fiber for the IOF fibers between Central offices in Prince Georges and Montgomery Cnty. I also spliced fibers for the SONET rings between Central Offices and cut in nodes for OPM and Cell sites. Installation of hardware and power cabling of multiplexers, inserting circuit packsand dowloading software for multiplexer turn up, provisioning soft cross connects. Proficient in laptopuse of PROCOMM PLUS, TL1 language, Vendor specific GUI, for communicating with multiplexers from manufactures of FUJITSU, ALCATEL, LUCENT, CISCO. Also proficient in installation and cabling and bringing online the DC POWER plant and backup batteries. Rectifiers from manufactures such asHELIOS, LUCENT, VOLARE, etc. In 2001 i went into the Maintenance side of the business, utilizing my experience in building every aspect of the network, to successfully daily troubleshoot, and/or provisioning DSO, DSL, ISDN, DS1 over the copper network for residential, small and large business, local and state and fed govt, defense industry.
