Developed an internal audit process based on the ISAGO requirements and received ISAGO certification on first applications. The process included a spreadsheet that tracked all of the key points of an ISAGO audit and scored it in an easy to read bar graph showing past and present performance. Remote training reduced overall costs and a closed loop process ensured local accountability.Launched a Risk Assessment training program and reduced the number of serious aircraft damages by 10%. Initiated and trained the Safety Teams in the Americas on the importance of identifying and assessing risks before they become an accident or injury. Assessed all aspects of the airline’s operations as well as cargo operations.Collaborated with department heads and developed employee safety programs. Developed a drug testing policy and employee security searches with the Human Resources VP. Developed training programs and Safety policy with the UK head office to issue additional personal protective equipment and reduced the personal injury rate and lower worker’s comp exposure. Issued a comprehensive and uniform procedure for handling Customs, USDA, FAA documentation and reduced regulatory fines by annual reduction of $175,000.00. Identified several gaps in the crosschecks and verifications process and created new policies & procedures and supporting tracking documents. Reviewed the procedures with all of our terminal managers and their key supervisors.

Assumed full management responsibility of a $750,000 customer relocation project. Project consisted of moving three airline customers out of one facility and into two separate facilities. Coordinated tenant improvements, to comply with ADA, airport planning commission and all IT and telecommunications install teams. Negotiated with the property owner a $200,000 reduction in repair costs of vacated facility. The move went smooth and the customers did not experience any continuity problems.

Negotiated a substantially lower trucking rate for the transport of ocean containers between two major ports. Organized the rotation of empty containers to coincide with the delivery of the full containers, increasing the efficiency of the trucking operation to and from the Port of Oakland and San Francisco.
