Jim O'Grady heads the HPE Financial Services Global Asset Management organization, the company’s lifecycle management arm. He is responsible for end-to-end P&L performance and direct management of the operational infrastructure worldwide.Jim’s organization is responsible for the HPE Financial Services Global Asset Recovery Services program for end-of-use IT equipment. It is designed to ensure disposal in an environmentally friendly manner, help protect customers’ proprietary information and help customers recover remaining value from older equipment. Jim also manages HPE Financial Services’ lease returns recovery operations, legacy certified pre-owned business and HPE’s Global Trade-in capability. Prior to assuming this assignment in 2008, Jim led the company’s lifecycle organization in the Americas region. Previously, he managed the company’s Technology Renewal Center, a 165,000-square-foot facility designed to receive, audit, test and refurbish off-lease equipment returns.He has been with the company since 1983, when he joined Digital Equipment Corporation, which later merged with Compaq. Jim has managed many large technical operational capabilities including a custom hardware manufacturing operation that provided customized hardware and software solutions to enterprise and federal government customers. A Microsoft Certified System Engineer, O'Grady earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College and an MBA from Rivier College.
