I work for Newable leading a team of Innovation & Growth Specialists, delivering support for innovative, high-growth SME businesses.Covering the London region we advise innovation & tech-focussed start-ups and SMEs on business growth, IP Protection, raising finance, grant funding, brand development, overseas sales, export strategy & international growth through a combination of our experience, our contacts and our connections to the Innovate UK & wider business support ecosystem, overseas networks, events and activities. Previous roles at Newable include 8 years as an International Trade Adviser on the DIT contract, running the Fashion & Ecommerce team for London & the SE. Prior to this I have experience as a founder and director of my own retail & ecommerce business as well as banking and international experience, predominantly in Japan. The focus of my work for Innovate UK and for DIT has been identifying opportunities and supporting UK companies to expand overseas, particularly in Asian markets. Japanese market entry advice & support is my area of greatest knowledge. I have delivered several trade missions for DIT to Japan and am now responsible for leading Global Business Innovation programmes to the market for Innovate UK.
