Working in tandem with UAV manufacturers such as Tekever to provide live, exhaustive and high added value maritime surveillance.Helping extract the best data from the onboard sensors, and delivering it with low latency and high quality to our end-users: Electro-optical & Infrared cameras, maritime Radar, AIS, EPIRB...Helping set-up BRLOS operations all accross Europe: SATCOM services and MRO, logistics, permit to fly procedures and frequency licences.Following regulatory developments and writing articles on the topic.

Tackling the concepts of U-space and UTM (Unmanned Aerial System Traffic Management) by formulating a specific scenario: the use of drones to help calibrate NAVAIDs, as a complement to piloted aircrafts. This will enable the development of both the technological solution (the drone itself) and the concept of operation that is compulsory for a successfull insertion in busy airport traffic.Following, and taking part in, French and European efforts to introduce UAS legislation. Working on draft regulations, risk assessment procedures, UAV traffic management systems, interactions with other airspace users... Holding conferences and lectures on the subject.Calibrating and validating the payload of ENAC's flying laboratory – a Daher Socata TB10 – with flight and ground tests : potentiometers on the pilot stick, tachometers in the Main Landing Gear wheels, GPS, ADS-B, Pitot probe, cameras – all connected and synchronized to a computer storing the data and broadcasting it real-time over Wi-Fi. Gathering data to create a computer model of the aircraft, for engineering students to work with.Writing, giving and assessing tutorials in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, automation and control.Certified Drone Pilot, in accordance with French Law

Part of the subcontracting team working for Airbus Aircrafts'​ stability andcontrol department.• handling qualities studies: robustness of A350 pitch down protectionsin icing conditions and with failures, assessment of A400M's groundcontrol performance in case of failures;• flight control laws studies: validation of the A330 and A350 pitchdown protections, validation of Automatic Landing control laws forA330 (Autopilot);• skills acquired: ability to deliver results of excellent quality in anindustry that cannot accept oversights. Excellent knowledge ofmodelling aircrafts and simulating flight: replicate embedded softwarein desktop simulators, use cockpit simulators to assess failurehandling.

Analysis of visual EKF-SLAM solutions (Extended Kalman Filtering forSimultaneous Localisation and Mapping):• review of current algorithms;• performance assessment of two different, open sources algorithms: onepoint RANSAC for extended Kalman filtering, implemented on avehicle with just one Camera and no other sensors; and REAL-TIMESLAM, implemented on a vehicle with an Inertial Measurement Unitand a Camera.
