The Timberwolves went from a team with limited draft picks and no salary cap flexibility to a team that had 7 first round picks over a two year span and close to 17 million dollars in salary cap space based on 10 trades made over a two and a half year period positioning themselves for an expedited franchise rebuild. -

I created game plans and articulated strategy based on upcoming opponents' strengths and weaknesses to devise a plan that would attempt to maximize the Knicks ability to win on any given night. I also provided input on the list of free agents in the league during the 03-04 season for the purpose of making recommendations about future player acquisitions.The Knicks qualified for the playoffs during my one-season tenure with the team.

I also played an active role in player development. Jermaine O'Neal won most improved player honors in 2000-01 and Al Harrington finished among the most improved players in 2002-03. I also had significant input into the defensive system installed by the Pacers and was responsible for day-to day practice planning and game planning. I devised several in game charts to track the offensive and defensive efficiency of the Pacers game-to-game performance.The Pacers made the playoffs all 3 seasons during my coaching tenure with one of the 3 youngest rosters in the NBA. During the 2002-03 season the Pacers had the best record in the NBA at the all-star break earning us the opportunity to coach the 2003 all-star game, which was Michael Jordan's last.

The Bulls won 6 NBA championships during my 12 year tenure with the team. The Bulls compiled an NBA best 72-10 record during the 95-96 season and followed that up with a 69-13 record in 96-97. Both seasons ending in NBA championships. I played a key role in the acquisition of Dennis Rodman in 95-96 in spite of intense push back from the media and others within the Organization. This trade was instrumental in kick starting the Chicago Bulls second three-peat (96-98). Was instrumental in drafting future all-stars Elton Brand and NBA all-defensive stalwart and NBA champion Ron Artest in the 1999 NBA draft. I had significant input in the acquisition of every Bulls player during my 13 year tenure with the Franchise.
