Managing the Regulatory Consulting Group as part of the Strategy and Planning horizontal, with particular focus on business development, project execution and staff development.

A wide-ranging role at IHS, encompassing all aspects of international business development, project execution and staff management in a rapidly evolving corporate environment. Currently managing a team of 11 lawyers and regulatory specialists. Key achievements include:• Independently building a successful consulting business based in oil and gas but increasingly diversified into other market sectors;• Closing and profitably executing challenging and varied $1M+ regulatory consulting contracts in multiple jurisdictions;• Building long-term client relationships and benefiting from repeat business;• Sustaining and motivating a team of ambitious professionals.Recent Selected Projects:1999-2011 – ExxonMobil: Development, maintenance and population of a SQL compliance management system in support of billion Dollar investments in multiple jurisdictions including Angola, Nigeria, Chad, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Iraq, UK ($12 Million).2010-2011 – Qatar Ministry of Municipality and Planning: Drafting Health and Safety Guidelines and developing a safety management system for the civil construction industry, capacity development planning, organisational change strategy ($700K).2010-2011 - Tanzania National Development Corp./DBSA: Environmental due diligence and transaction support for international resource development investment ($1.4 Million).2010 - General Electric: Country entry strategy support and regulatory risk assessment for multiple jurisdictions ($250K).2008-09 – Yemen, World Bank: Petroleum law and contract development, organizational change management, fiscal review ($400K).2006 – Gabon, DGH: International benchmarking of Concession agreement and analysis and negotiation support ($800K).2005 - Kuwait Oil Company/Ministry of Energy: Drafting Petroleum Regulations, Health and Safety Guidelines, organisational change management, HSE Inspection and staff training ($2 Million).

Environmental consultancy - Various environmental consulting projects principally related to environmental risk assessment associated with heavy metals and radionuclides contamination. Working primarily for the UK Government and the EU, with particular focus on the deterministic and probabilistic modelling of contaminant transport in groundwater systems.
