Formed a solo law practice providing counsel for all the ways that intellectual property and artificial intelligence issues can and will impact your business, in the following primary areas:1. providing IP and AI audits for your business, assessing areas of potential improvement for your policies, procedures, and contracting on these issues;2. developing your comprehensive IP protection and AI implementation strategies; and3. representing you in your noncompete and trade secret misappropriation disputes centered on IP and AI issues.

Served on litigation teams for two cases before the Maricopa County Superior Court. Developed comprehensive IP protection plan for cannabis companies, navigating the federal prohibition against the industry.

Managed the development of content and programs for a non-profit organization dedicated to moving the law forward in a reasoned and just way in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. Managed the drafting of consensus, non-partisan commentaries providing guidance of immediate, practical benefit to the bench and bar, including the Sedona Working Group 9/10 Commentary on Patent Litigation Best Practices, with teams drawn from around 250 leading judges, in-house counsel, and practitioners. Managed Working Group 12 on Trade Secrets from its launch in 2018 until June 2022.

Co-founder and IP counsel for a startup company that provided automated sentiment analysis and classification of customer service calls. Developed and implemented comprehensive plan to protect company intellectual property and manage IP risk. Served as Corporate Secretary for all board meetings, through the company’s dissolution in December 2018.

Managed all aspects of the legal and compliance functions as sole in-house counsel for the Ubee Group, a privately-held business-to-business supplier of broadband connectivity products and solutions to the cable, telecommunications, and mobility markets, headquartered in Taiwan and with regional offices in the U.S.A. and the Netherlands. Developed and implemented comprehensive plan to protect company intellectual property and manage IP risk. Led development of departmental review guidelines for all key contract categories and managed review of every company contract. Managed legal due diligence, contract negotiation, and integration of the asset acquisition of AirWalk Communications, Inc., a leader in small cell solutions, by UbeeAirWalk, Inc. Served as Corporate Secretary for all board meetings.

Experienced in all stages of patent litigation, including managing discovery, defending against antitrust counterclaims, engaging in motion practice, taking and defending depositions, and drafting Markman, summary judgment and appellate briefs in cases on both the federal district court and appellate levels and before the International Trade Commission.
