This job requires the full instrumentation of prototype vehicles for acoustical testing on the exhaust system. I perform the data acquisition and also process the data. Writing the technical report to be sent to the proper departments is also my responsibility. My role is not confined to strictly acoustical data. Modal analysis is also performed along with impact testing for the natural frequencies of individual parts and also how they interact with each other as an assembly.The position requires self motivation, but also being a member of a team. Mechanical Engineering Technician
Rebuild radar systems and insure they are operational to support the Naval Warfighter. This entailed disassembling the radar units and determining what parts were salvageable and what needed replaced. When the system was returned from further processing I would reassemble the unit to the specifications set by the Department of the Navy.This job entailed the reading of technical drawings and using technical decisions on the disposition of integral parts of the radar system. It required attention to detail to be sure that the Naval Warfighter had to the best tools to accomplish their mission.
