I was the sole fund manager on a £550m portfolio investing in infrastructure stocks on a global basis. This portfolio delivered an annualized return of 9.4% over the 10 years since its inception in October 2006, comparing favourably with the benchmark return of 8.4% per annum.

One of three fund managers running an in-house portfolio of between £1bn and £2bn invested in UK equities. The portfolio outperformed the FTSE All-Share benchmark for 11 years in succession between 2005 and 2016. Within the WM50 universe (the UK's 50 largest pension funds) the UK equity portfolio performance was 1st or 2nd quartile each year between those dates and top decile across the 10 years 2006-2016.
