Team lead for the Insurance Collaboration Management product. Worked with a team of 7 in Austin and 4 more in India, I was responsible for the development of a billing inquiry application, then a homeowners insurance quoting application, that were based upon Webify's SOBA Fabric technology. Using Web Services and Java, and running on WebSphere with DB2, we developed applications that made internal customer systems available via B2B channels and also directly to agents via a Web application.… Show more Team lead for the Insurance Collaboration Management product. Using Web Services and Java, and running on WebSphere with DB2, we developed applications that made internal customer systems available via B2B channels and also directly to agents via a Web application. All projects were delivered on time, with the last one actually being delivered a month ahead of schedule. The quote application is still being used in 2010 at a rate that exceeds the customer's original estimates by well over 50 times. Team lead for the Video Network Platform and Alliance Scheduler products. I led a group of programmers (which peaked at about 20 people) in the development of Java-based 3-tiered applications that manage rich media devices and manage meetings. Our packages won several industry awards for technical achievement.

Java and JSP developer for the platform development team. Performed all duties involved in developing and releasing new features for the Trilogy Multi-Channel Commerce engine. In one specific case, participated in a 3-week development cycle for a new function in Java that was urgently needed by a customer. In those 3 weeks, developed a complete solution that included a patentable algorithm, a test framework for all the code being developed, and test cases for my particular complex piece.
