At this time, I am not interested in a new position. In general, I am mainly interested in technical leadership and/or architecture positions in a software development organization. I have 25+ years of software development experience, including 13 in Java and J2EE, providing technical leadership for teams from 2-25 people. I am a very quick learner (as was demonstrated repeatedly, especially when I went to work for Trilogy), so the specifics of a particular job should present little problem for me.If you look at my resume, you will see that I have excelled at technical leadership and architecture. My “do what it takes” attitude is infectious. I place a high premium on competence, and I loathe “yes people.” In fact, I make sure that everyone who works with me knows that I would much rather have them disagree with me over technical issues, because disagreement forces discussion, and that leads to the best possible product for the business and the customer. However, I do know when the time for discussions is over, the time for action is here, and that there will always be disagreements. Because I have this fundamental respect for everyone’s opinions, people love to work with me.Skills: * Languages - Java, XML, SQL, JRules, C, OWL, C#, Perl, Korn shell, assorted assembly languages (including RS/6000), REXX, FORTRAN, Pascal* Java Technologies – Web Services, SOA, J2EE, EJB, JMS, JDBC, JUnit, Velocity, Hibernate, Spring, Tapestry, JMX, JSP* Tools and Packages – WebSphere, Rational Team Concert, Java coverage tools (Emma/Clover), DB2, Rational Software Architect, Protégé, Racer, Crystal Reports, JBoss, SQL Server, Ant, Allaire JRun, JIRA, Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest* Operating Systems - Windows, Linux, AIX, OS/400, VM.* Agile methodology - short iterations with deliverable results, scrums, backlog of requirements maintained and chosen from at start of each iteration, documenting small work tasks.
