We develop apps for mobile devices. Primarily for Android mobile phones but also for tablets, wearables and others. SDI was originally conceived as a web consulting service in 2001. In 2002 the business moved into low gear for a while, providing software consulting services to my mortgage business. In late 2010, the company returned its focus to software development when I decided to switch back to software and focus on mobile apps.The first app was released on the Android Market (now Google Play) during the first few days of 2011. It was a text messaging app. Since then the company has grown to over 40 apps with cumulative downloads over 3 million. Across our apps we serve about 50 million ads a month and are adding new and exciting products to our portfolio. During the course of developing a wide array of apps, we have developed experience with Google Play, Google Analytics, Flurry, MoPub, Millennial Media, AdMob, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Messaging (GCM), Amazon Device Messaging (ADM), Placed among many other third-party app services, markets and providers. We develop end-to-end app solutions that include websites, messaging services, data collection, authentication, etc. using technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Perl, PHP, Javascript, Java, MySQL, SQLite. We enjoy developing apps with an intense focus on user experience using tools like analytics and A/B testing. We also develop features incrementally and rapidly, so we know when a feature is worth pursuing without large investments in time and money. We have a very agile development approach and enjoy the fast paced nature of mobile technology.

This new solar energy approach may provide twice as much power as traditional solar panels with only a fraction in additional costs. This could bring solar panel efficiency to a whole new level, enabling reliance on renewable power like never before.

As EVP I was responsible for the overall success of the company. I handled both daily operations and strategic responsibilities and reported solely to the president who lived out of state and expected involvement only when absolutely necessary (e.g. signing corporate documents and reviewing legal matters).Daily operations included oversight of loan origination, closings, post-closing and loan sales activities. The basic operations of a mortgage lender include creating and reviewing reports, meeting with operations managers to manage the loan pipeline and meeting with customers, business partners, banks and affiliates on a regular basis.Strategic responsibilities included reviewing regional and national mortgage data, reviewing loan pipeline risk factors, evaluating and monitoring new and existing loan program risks, managing regulatory changes to maintain compliance while also staying profitable, building banking partnerships. This was particularly challenging as the Financial Crisis unfolded, causing the collapse of all independent lenders in our area with the exception of BLI.Baker and Lindsey, Inc. (BLI) was a state licensed mortgage lender providing traditional mortgage lending services to the Florida Panhandle. We focused on primary residences and first-time homebuyers. We specialized in VA, FHA and Rural Housing Development loans.Prior to the closure in September 2010, BLI had 4 offices with it's main office in Fort Walton Beach, FL and employed 22 people. BLI produced over 400 loans with a total loan volume of over $50 million.Other highlights:Grew the company from 10 to 25 employees (at its peek).Created and implemented electronic loan processing and delivery.Implemented a new loan processing system (MortgageBuilder), including training all employees, migrating data and creating all new reports for managing the company overall.
