CurrentManage multiple manufacturing Departments including: ◦ February, 2016 – Present, Polishing, Burnishing, Spot Welding, and Wrap & Pack. ◦ January, 2013 – February, 2016, Automated Draw Press, Annealing & Wash.Plan and Schedule departments.Responsible for hiring, training, development and if necessary termination of Employees.Responsible for department goals regarding: Safety-DART improved by 25%, Quality-scrap improved by 20%, Delivery-on time held at 96%, and Cost-Earned to Worked hours held at 73%, despite heavy staffing turn over. Manage the 5-S Workplace Organization for those areas. Audit scores increased 40-60% throughout 2019.Facilitating, Leading and participating in Safety, Quality, and Productivity improvements in my current departments as well as those Supervised by others. In 2019 and 2020, these improvements were focused on: ◦ Maximizing Output: Improved Auto Polish cell output 28% going from 65 parts/hour to 90 parts/hour through the application of Standard Work. ◦ Reduced Manufacturing costs: Auto Polishing by 10% or $11K annual. YTD 2020 consumable cost savings of $19K. ◦ Scrap and Rework reduction: Rework deburring in Polishing reduced by 30%. ◦ Setup Reduction: Slitting Setup hours reduced 50%, for $49K labor, & added capacity for $100K of outsourced work. ◦ Machine and Operator Utilization: Improved Earned to Worked hours by 8% for a $40K annual savings by eliminating wash interruptions, structuring breaks and shift changes. Represent manufacturing operations with cross-functional NPD and improvement teams to ensure the smooth implementation and integration of new product and changes into manufacturing.
