Operations management for LaserJet printers. Led strategies and development of product completion for all products, all factories worldwide. • Successfully managed manufacturing issues, balancing technical solution (fact finding) and gaining internal and external buy-in and accountability. Line downtime was minimized, customer shipments were not impacted and customer goodwill and revenue were maintained.• Reduced product configuration and test cycle times, improving production efficiencies.• Drove quality strategy, which reduced PCA failure rates six-fold.• Provided Supply Chain due diligence for the Printelligent print services acquisition. Integrated best practices from both companies’ supply chains.

Developed and executed R&D strategy. Delivered pay-per-use, diagnostics and e-Support software systems. Provided technical consultation to Fortune 500 CIOs and CTOs.• Converged multiple systems to a single printing service delivery platform, improving employee efficiency and customer satisfaction.• Drove cross functional service contract/billing system and process improvements which cut costs and increased revenue.

Developed and implemented $4B printer product portfolio strategies with a team of approximately 100 engineers. Drove cross-product leverage strategy resulting in COGS savings >$200M.• Brought company’s first LaserJet (4100) to market with embedded web server, which enabled customers to configure and administer printers over the web.• Doubled product portfolio while reducing overall platform development costs by 35%.

Managed team of approximately 40 engineers and managers who developed and delivered small business class printers and scanners.• Reduced product introduction time from 18 to 12 months for retail products.• Developed and introduced new product category for division (Companion Scanner).• Introduced revolutionary internal duplexing technology now used across entire product line.

Managed 450-person, 24x7 PCA factory. Delivered supply chain and PCA process technology strategies implemented in high volume production. • Drove major process, pay, training, rewards and staffing changes which delivered breakthrough cost, quality, productivity and flexibility performance.• Applied Lean techniques and implemented new kanban system in concert with external subsystem integration organizations. Negotiated and drove necessary process changes with strategic partners.• Mentored leaders of new sister production facility in Italy.

Product engineering for all LaserJet products from design through obsolescence. Developed and executed strategies for top level product integration, print engines, formatters, EP cartridges and accessories.• Reduced annualized failure rate to <3% across product lines. • Reconfigured supply chain which reduced length by 3 months.
