Senior Manager, Accounting Policy & Transaction Support

• Accounting research and compliance activities, acting as a technical accounting resource, keeping current with all new accounting pronouncements and implementation of appropriate policy and process changes, ensuring integrity of consistent financial reporting across Global entities• Work closely with business development teams, tax and legal departments to analyze significant revenue transactions ensuring proper accounting• Participate in cross-functional teams to bring financial expertise to key corporate objectives• Support CFO, Controller, Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting Policy with responses to FASB, IASB, SEC and others regarding proposed accounting rules changes and the Company's transformation to IFRS• Work closely with finance personnel at all levels and Accenture executives to understand the facts and circumstances of the particular transaction/situation and provide feedback and advice on appropriate accounting treatment• Review and confirm U.S. GAAP compliance on defined financial transactions which require Corporate Controllership approval• Support training and knowledge sharing for finance and non-finance personnel to ensure a base understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements and updates, as required• Monitor changes and potential changes to U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, evaluate their impact on Accenture’s financial transaction processing and reporting and ensure appropriate changes are incorporate into Accenture policies and procedures• Support Accenture management and respond to potential FASB, SEC, IASB and other changes in accounting literature or reporting requirements• Work closely with policy owners to ensure Accenture policies are clear, accurate and current with respect to U.S. GAAP requirements• Research and document accounting requirements for new operational areas (e.g., pension plans, stock compensation, new service offerings, etc.)
