Recent projects include ArborOS, an online tree management database that includes RFP generation and vendor bid management capabilities so that corporate and municipal property managers and tree service companies can find each other to provide enhanced care for tens of thousands of trees in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Led a 2-year enterprise IT initiative that increased overall corporate productivity for a national newspaper advertising division by 376% by transitioning the company from manual business processes to a modern IT platform. * Designed and built 60+ computers and a high-speed nationwide VPN. Implemented corporate email using Microsoft Exchange.* Implemented an enterprise sales force automation solution using Onyx Customer Center and migrated data from 80+ legacy databases. Developed a custom integrated order entry COM object to provide real-time order processing.* Partnered with executive management to transition company culture and drive adoption of new enterprise productivity tools. Wrote database triggers for a real-time trading system using PL/SQL in the context of a globally replicated Oracle 7.3 database to encapsulate business rules associated with capturing, recording and auditing trades. Wrote approximately 20,000 lines of insert, update and delete triggers to automatically coordinate event processing for 75+ critical tables in a 350+ table database. Achieved sub-second response time on all transactions, exceeding performance targets by more than 400%.

Architected a new corporate financial reporting system using Essbase, Lotus 1-2-3, and Excel. Created a six-dimension OLAP database to store general ledger accounts, business units, cost centers, and budget scenarios over time. Seamlessly integrated all existing general ledger data with Essbase and defined outline member relationship formulas to support multiple chart-of-accounts reporting views. Created presentation-quality on-demand Essbase/Excel reports for balance sheet and income statements, department expenses, budget and prior-year reconciliations, tax calculations, analysis of revenue, production and distribution analysis, and others. Created user and technical documentation and conducted training for accountants and administrators on the use of Essbase.
