These platforms support ordering, test administration, scoring, and reporting through a complex set of services. Students and colleges can access this information to provide guidance in college placement.

BoxTone’s MDM software enables enterprises and government agencies to secure, manage and support the millions of Apple, Android, BlackBerry and other mobile devices that are hitting corporate networks worldwide.As part of the architectural team I contributed to the vision of future efforts and act to refine the existing components. I designed and implemented complex new database components. I set the standards for database development and performed code reviews. As a database developer I worked to extend the core functionality while constantly improving quality and performance.

Frederick, Maryland

Worked with a special team created to reduce client churn in the online information services. Several projects were created for different products to address short term and long term needs. The projects required information to be gathered from multiple database warehouses to support customer on-boarding and identify potential churn. Prepared for a longer term project to gather hundreds of data elements to feed into a decision engine. I also worked to mentor database resources demonstrating how to analyze and tune queries run against the warehouses.

Reston, Virginia

Working on the DOEHRS TMIP-J development I designed and developed a database replication system. The solution worked when direct communication to the primary database was not possible. This system was designed to work identical to Oracle updateable materialized views in an environment where DBA resources would not be available. Changes captured at each location were played back in such a way that the master and slave machines corrected themselves when conflicts occurred without human intervention.

Provided consulting services to a number of companies as a database performance tuning expert. In this role I rewrote PL/SQL code used for warehousing to improve performance and modified the schema to support enhanced reporting.

As VP of Operations for a company providing interconnect business optimization solutions my primary responsibilities include managing the Client Services and Operations departments. In addition to being an active member of the Release Planning team I also provide:- Product support for tier one telecommunications companies around the globe- Account Management providing focused customer support- Management of customer hosted applications and servers- Sales support specifying HW for proposals and new installations- Managed Saas hosting and IT organization

As VP of Software Development for a company providing interconnect business optimization solutions my primary responsibilities include managing the day to day activities of a team of more than 20 developers in offices around the globe. My contributions included:- Participated in the development of business plans for a hosted version of iXTools as well as our new Saas product iXLink- Participated in the initial design and built out hosting for iXLink- Managed the release of three versions of the iXTools suite- Participated in the Release Planning team contributing to the selection and specification of new product enhancements.

As VP of Software Engineering for a company providing wireless messaging services my primary responsibilities included managing the day to day activities of a team of more than 30 developers in offices around the globe. Major contributions included:- Enabled the adoption of SMS in the US by creating a world class platform for the exchange of messages between wireless operators- Created a second platform for the exchange of MMS messages- Used Agile programming methods to design and build a complex and highly configurable message processing system shared by the SMS and MMS platforms- Designed high performance OLTP databases processing thousands of transactions per second - Managed the IT build out in four data centers around the globe- Supported capacity planning for hosted servicesManaged software development that lead to an acquisition by Sybase for $425M.
