• Independent self-employed IT Consultant• Monsanto: Evolutionary Prototyping, gathering requirements, designed, modeled, developed, documented, tested, and implemented a Global Forecasting system that helps monitor and control activity in biotechnology labs in Ankeny, IA, St Louis, MO, Brazil, India, and Woodland, CA that performs genotyping plant seeds and tissue. This system called the “Global Forecasting Tool” or GFT includes an Oracle database backend with tables, procedures, and packages with an Oracle APEX user interface and supports about 700 users. • GFT won awards at Monsanto for being the “Impact” application of the year in FY2012. Prior to GFT Monsanto tried to monitor / control plant samples via a Spreadsheet. The GFT system helped monitor forecasting, tissue shipments, lab work loads, lab scheduling, lab efficiency, and future scenario planning. • Created, maintained and configured two Oracle 11 DB environments for development and sandbox testing that utilized Oracle APEX version 4. • Performed analysis, design, and modeling from logical model to physical model utilizing Oracle Data Modeler which was also used to generate all DDL scripts to create the database environment.• APEX was used for the external interface which supported data input, reporting, configuration, and maintenance. This layer was kept very thin using custom API Oracle database packages to interface with database objects. Included in the APEX layer were pages that allowed users to automatically load and update their data via spreadsheets • GFT was integrated with numerous Monsanto systems including Rubicon, MabMart, LIMs, GeMS, and OR. Data was retrieved into GFT via Oracle DB links while data was communicated to other systems via custom Oracle packages that constructed XML that was sent via services called utilizing utl_http. Some of the XML constructed was up to 30M in size.

Led Integration effort from Siebel CRM to Singl.eView billing and accounting system. Designed, developed and tested Fuego 5.5 and Oracle 10g PL/SQL programs. System included reading meta-data tables that allowed dynamic mapping of Siebel CRM provisioned telecom products to Singl.eView billed products and programming that process Siebel XML tasks into Oracle tables. Integration efficiency increased from around 50% in legacy system to over 98%. Designed, developed, tested, and implemented an "Account Import Tool" that converted legacy company customer, order, trouble ticket, and product information into Iowa Telecom Siebel CRM compatible information. This system included PL/SQL programming with external tables containing legacy company data, Oracle collections and types, translation tables including data mapping tables, and finally Siebel CRM compatible tables. The data in the Siebel compatible tables were loaded via Siebel EIM jobs into Siebel CRM tables. Created 2 APEX applications to administer this application.Designed a CRON type system called the "Batch Controller" which controlled Iowa Telecom integration. The system included Oracle meta-data tables, PL/SQL code, and Fuego 5.5 (Oracle BPM) middleware for control. This system would launch PL/SQL programs, Shell scripts, Fuego, or Oracle BPM processes through Fuego 5.5 or a Web launch utilizing Oracle HTTP. Created APEX application to administer this application.Designed, developed, and tested numerous process efficiency enhancements which include Oracle database encryption code for sensitive information, Oracle database LDAP authentication, and finally centralized process configuration information.
