Management of training activities to ensure maximum efficiencyDevelopment of bespoke training and assessment strategies to ensure organic business growthDevelopment and management of the Brandon Apprenticeship Scheme, over 100 delegates successfully completing their apprenticeshipDevelopment of Brandon Academy for Apprenticeship and adult learning in controlled environment – Brandon style branch created at a learning establishment – Wiltshire College, LackhamProcurement and development of training management software including support of customer training operationRecruitment / selection, development and direct line-management of a team of four Tech / H&S Trainers and four Training Co-OrdinatorsRepresenting best interests of Brandon Hire with industry bodies, trade associations and educational / academic organisations

Management, support and identification of projects for progression on behalf of and with support from key stakeholders including trade associations and levy payers.

Supporting Plant, Access, Crane & Tool Hire establishments in the UK regarding funding and facilitating of staff training and developmentCustomers supported both directly and in-directly via trade associations including the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) and the Hire Association Europe (HAE)Ensuring that customers utilise the most effective and appropriate business development / training package for themSupport and training of internal staff who also directly support Plant Hire and other Construction related businessesEstablishment of working agreements between CITB and trade associations including setting of SMART objectives and Key Performance Indicators to aid monitoring of agreement progress.Linking with, developing and supporting a network of training centres contracted to deliver training for CITB.Ensuring business development tools such as Investors in People etc are well utilised by the industry.Presenting information / selling support packages at conferences, meetings and one to one customer visits

Provision of after-sales support to JCB Dealers and end users of JCB machinery including:Dealer and Customer Service development including establishment of KPI's, monitoring, support and coaching to aid and encourage staff to exceed their targets.Dealer Technical development and training both for dealer personnel and customers engineers.Championing customer service improvement projects.Visiting customers to resolve product and support issues, this involves over 150 customer visits per year.Appraisal of new products at pre-introduction stage, and new product machine tracking.Provision of quality feedback to the manufacturing divisions regarding machine issues and performance.Resolution of technical and quality issues with direct design / quality involvement.Establishment of the JCB Dealer Apprenticeship Scheme which is still in use today recruiting over 150 apprentices to industry.

Liaison between the field based Product Support / Territory Managers and internal departments and divisions for follow up of field issues.Compiling and analysis of field raised reports for concentrated reporting to the manufacturing divisions.Dealing with telephone enquiries by customers and dealers.Co-ordination / reporting of measures submitted to JCB by the UK Dealer Network.

Successful diagnosis of machine problems using the facilities available.Repair of all types of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment following diagnosis.Management of “field-follow” program working directly with Caterpillar to monitor new products in the field and coordinate repairs, upgrades and maintenance.
