Jim Merchant is a Information Technology Manager at Adams Publishing Group LLC. Colleagues describe them as " I worked with Jim Merchant in 2010 during the implementation of a cloud-based newspaper pagination system at Sun Coast Media Group (SCMG). With Jim at the helm for SCMG there was never a concern about the inevitable technical challenges that arose. As soon as one was identified we would present it to Jim and he would have a quick answer. The often thorny technical side of a system implementation was not a concern with Jim around. Even more impressive was Jim's skills at project management. Under great pressure from Corporate for a fast and smooth turnaround, Jim was able to successfully coordinate multiple vendors to achieve the needed results. He demonstrated the aplomb and persistence needed to get solutions from them even they didn't think they could provide. Jim worked hands-on with the end-users, traveling to all of the remote sites to oversee the training and implementation of the system. Following project completion SCMG went forward requiring almost no intervention from our help desk, as his internal support structure was highly-skilled and tuned to responding to all but most esoteric of user issues.
