I’ve always been into fitness, but after an ATV accident, I gained 38 pounds. My usual approach to staying in shape no longer worked. While most people can’t relate to my accident, many can understand how life can get in the way of staying active.I wanted to feel good in my own skin again. So, I did what most people do: I jumped into every intense workout and diet I could find. Keto, intermittent fasting, CrossFit, you name it. Nothing stuck because it wasn’t sustainable, and I wasn’t willing to give up everything I loved just to see some progress.Eventually, I realized I had it all wrong. It wasn’t about grinding harder or restricting more — it was about finding an approach that worked with my body and fit into my life. So, I focused on the basics: flexible nutrition, training smarter (not harder), and actually enjoying life along the way.
