Carry-on contractor to previous position - Senior Boundary Protection Team Operator for the 26th Network Operations Squadron (26 NOS) stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Oversees intrusion detection, boundary protection and vulnerability assessment operations to defend the Air Force Network (AFNET). Identify unknown or unauthorized sources which attempt to access the AFNET and, when such attempts occur, notifies the appropriate U.S. Air Force (USAF) agencies. Monitor, operate, and maintained intrusion detection systems, firewalls, load balancers, and Web proxies’ servers to protect AFNET resources from both internal and external threats. We provide the Alternate Operating Facility service for 26 NOS, assuming critical mission functions for short periods of time in emergency and crisis situations. During non-emergency or crisis situations, the AOL Team will be tasked with normal 26 NOS operational duties.

• Install, configure, maintain and manage the Air Force IDS/IPS sensor fleet, ArcSight Correlator, and associated Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment/configurations.• I monitor and maintain the gateway IOP Sensors and switches, McAfee IDS, Cisco VPN and ASA and the Cloudshield. Familiar with ARCsight, Fidelis, Netwitness, Assure6, Vshpere, Solarwinds as well as Microsoft AD and Linux +. Working with the local personnel at each gateway as well as the 26 NOS, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Integrated Network Operations and Security Centers (I-NOSC) to ensure availability of network resources to customers on the installation.• Support the development and documentation of processes and checklists for maintenance associated with those systems.• Maintain and manage the capability to upgrade software and perform system changes for the IDS/IPS sensor fleet and associated equipment.• Deploy to any DoD network with necessary equipment to provide direct support for the installation of IDS/IPS sensor(s) and VPN hardware.• Support the conduct of the daily private key management
