Jimmy is a co-founder of Forefront Capital, an early stage venture capital firm that invests in exceptional underestimated founders. As Managing Partner, Jimmy’s unwavering commitment to investing in and empowering others underlies every aspect of his work, from shaping the firm’s investment thesis to leading its portfolio management, fundraising, and marketing strategies. Beginning as an angel syndicate during the COVID pandemic, the firm invests in numerous tech startups that are creating economic opportunities and confronting inequalities across multiple sectors, including dating, mental health, finance, climate, and diversity. Prior to Forefront Capital, Jimmy managed a $38B portfolio of public and private market investments for ultra high net worth clients at Vanguard. He also was the first Head of Talent Attraction and Front Office Operations in Vanguard's Personal Advisor Services business, after successful leadership tenures in the Financial Advisor Services and Strategy & Finance divisions. He is a BLCK VC Black Venture Institute Fellow, a Cap Table Coalition member, serves on the Seed the South Capital Summit’s Investment Committee, and is a member of the Innovate Charlotte Investors Council.
