• I have over seventeen and a half years of experience as former criminal investigator (police /peace officer) for the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles Investigations Division. • As an investigator for the DMV, I have been assigned to investigate organized crime, stolen vehicles, tampered vehicle odometers, tampered vehicle identification, counterfeited government documents, insurance fraud, tax fraud and economic crime, unlicensed used car dealers, and unlicensed driving schools and instructors. I have gone undercover as a buyer and infiltrated criminal organizations. I have interviewed over one thousand individuals and obtained vital information. I have written over one hundred criminal investigation reports, search warrants, and arrest warrants. I have filed over one hundred cases to the district attorney’s office for criminal prosecution. • As an Investigator for the Bureau of Automotive Enforcement Division I have investigated over one hundred repair facility owners, technicians and managers for unnecessary repair and/or replacement of parts and the issuance of lamp, brake and smog check certificates to cars that did not meet the manufacture’s specifications and/or were unsafe to operate on the public street. • I am a dedicated automotive technician proficient in problem solving complex auto repair issues while consistently delivering quality service.• I speak, read, and write fluently in Vietnamese.
