Over the course of a diverse 30-year career in various as aspects of real estate investment, development and consulting Jim has proven himself to be skilled at completing successful real estate investments, planning and developing real estate projects, securing development rights, and evaluating market conditions.Currently Jim is President of Restore Utah, an institutionally funded venture formed to acquire, renovate, rent and ultimately re-sell residential rental properties with a particular focus on stabilizing low and moderate income neighborhoods in Salt Lake County. Restore has invested over $190 million in residential properties.Prior to Restore Utah, inspired by both a personal food allergy and an opportunity to enter and emerging segment of the food business, Jim and his wife Pam launched Lucky Spoon Bakery, a wholesale bakery specializing in gluten-free products sold in various markets throughout the U.S. The company is currently in operation and continues to see attractive growth.His real estate career includes senior land development roles at Kennecott Land and Boeing where he was responsible for the planning and entitlement of 89,000 acres in Salt Lake and a 260-acre infill project in Long Beach, CA.Other activities in his career have included acquisitions totaling over $75 million for Archstone, and consulting assignments with locations ranging from Las Vegas and Palm Desert to the Philippines and Greece.Jim holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and a BBA in real estate and finance from SMU. He is a member of the board and prior Chair of the Utah Housing Coalition.
