In 2018 I sold Medical Management (MedMan) to a great team of our managers who are taking it to new levels. It's a concept I brought to life as America's first physician practice management company. MedMan is a large connected network of medical groups managed by MedMan-employed administrators and sharing resources; improving the lives of providers and improving the health of the communities they serve. MedMan is a respected medical group management option--while also offering consulting and support to clinics they don't manage.

I was recruited to help start up Idaho's first post-graduate physician education program. This joint venture between St. Luke's and St. Al's and aligned with the medical school at the University of Washington sought to attract family medicine residents to be trained in and recruited to our state. Developing a clinic from scratch and then managing it opened my eyes to the benefits and excitement of ambulatory medicine.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to run this full service 41-bed hospital as my first civilian job coming out of the military. As a 25 year old, I was the youngest hospital administrator in the country at the time.
