I employ cutting-edge statistical and ecological genomics analyses and bioinformatics to understand repeated gene re-use associated with climate adaptation across plants. My current role involves diverse data wrangling, processing and analysis skills across a wide array of disciplines.

My first postdoctoral position centred around understanding the repeatability of evolution in Trinidadian guppies. Over the course of this role, I processed and analysed extensive whole-genome sequencing data, was involved in the publication of a new long-read genome assembly, and conducted fieldwork in Trinidad. I contributed to 8 publications during this role, and developed two R packages for data analysis and visualisation (GenotypePlot and AF-vapeR).

During my PhD, I completed a three-month internship working at the Ri assisting on media accompaniments to the televised 2015 Christmas Lectures. This was a rewarding experience to develop communications skills beyond research. I was involved in creating media campaigns, ghostwriting science articles and writing press releases to promote the Christmas Lectures, as well as other Ri activities.
