I've worked on a variety of large and small projects, but have devoted most of my career to high intensity start-ups and high growth groups in large organizations. I consider myself more like a craftsman who uses many tools to accomplish project goals (i.e. Python, C#, Java, C++, VMware vSphere - ESX, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.). Most recently I've been a Sr Director of the NSX development team at Vmware working in Software Defined Networking and security (SDN), but I've had extensive experience as a senior technical member. Under my tenure, my teams have built technologies ranging from clustered management solutions for cloud scale orchestration of configuration to hypervisor security introspection tools and content introspection (Data Loss Prevention - DLP / deep packet inspection). Currently, I hold a number of patents (some pending) in a variety of areas and have published many articles on software componentry.
