As an editor for the Cambridge Journal of Visual Culture (2025 edition), I explore the overarching theme of ‘subcultures’ through the lens of ‘communities’, focusing on how individuals often overlooked due to their race, gender, or ways of life unite in solidarity.In this role, I aim to promote scholarship on under-explored areas and topics within visual.

Through participating in the selective one-year entrepreneurial program at King’s E-Lab, I gain foundational knowledge in entrepreneurship and social venture, as well as insights into different industries. I also work with the E-Lab events team in organising talks with leading arts industry professionals, contributing to the breath and depth of the E-Lab’s.

As a student rep, my main goal is to ensure that student voices are heard, and that student welfare remains a priority and issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively.I am responsible for liaising with my cohort and having termly meetings with the Departmental Teaching Committee, Faculty Board and Head of Department to discuss the running of the.

I was involved in the international magic convention held in my hometown in two ways: as the co-host for the last evening's show in the Poly Grand Theatre (with over 1,500 audiences) & as the Chinese-English interpreter for the guest performers from 6 different countries as well as the President of FISM. In summer 2023, I directed and presented an English short film for the first international art festival in my hometown, which gained high reviews and was popular on Chinese social media (2.7k likings & 2k forwarding). This experience helped me gain insights into the curation of art festivals as well as the work required for publicity.

Working on the Chinese Paper Culture Forum as the host and presenter helps to develop multiple skills: firstly, I gained much understanding and knowledge of the Chinese paper, from techniques of its creation to its cultural and artistic value; secondly, in presenting about local paper leading to the Forum, I transformed my knowledge to videos easily.
