I joined this young and fast-growing startup this fall and serves as data scientist intern, I have a chance to work on real-world data in the food industry and learn to be a problem solver. This was my capstone project, we were lucky to collaborate with Stanley Black & Decker Data Science Team to work on their internal audit project.In this role, I served as data analyst in my team, my main tasks were :● Cleaned, maintained and integrated more than 2 million records of SAP data using Excel, SQL & Python● Conducted statistical analysis and built data visualization dashboards in Tableau to convey research results● Designed an automated process to detect duplicate purchase orders and increased vendor invoices, achieved cost efficiency by over 2%, present results to SBD senior executives and was ranked one of top 2 teams

In addition, I designed a survey to gather data on the student job search process using Tableau to craft storyboards to interpret survey results and provide recommendations to drive student engagement.

●I joined the Beauty Care division of this Fortune 500 company, as a Data Analytics Consultant, where I partnered with three MBA students on a project to structure metrics for measuring and reporting operational strategies based on supportable data. I served as the Data Analytics lead building multiple linear and logistic regression models. We were successful in defining requirements for their key performance indicators including success thresholds and competitive benchmarks to measure levels of customer media engagement (social, voice, SEO). This enabled me to build machine learning models to identify the optimal indicators and media channels which impacted overall sales. The results were used to prioritize marketing expenditures. Key Accomplishments during this tenure:● Designed an automated data flow using Python, pulled data from Henkel’s database to feed logistics regression algorithms in order to give actionable results that will display on the dashboard ● The project was the recipient of two thank-you letters from Henkel’s senior executives.

● Worked as a research analyst in the an applied think tank based in Nairobi, Kenya. Conducted the African marketing research “New Agricultural technology in Africa” with over 20 samples. My research suggested that surprisingly plenty of big-data techniques (Weather forecasts, mobile APP monitoring) were used in Africa to boost the production of agricultural products.

Collaborate with two analysts to conduct desk research for 3 projects featured on French wine, Mexico fruit and Bangladesh processed food industry simultaneously. In addition, I identified potential clients and gained more industry insight through targeted cold calling

● The first working experience in United States, I served as an equity analyst for University's $5 million small-cap value fund, I analyzed and track 2 stocks in Data Tech Industry(TDC) and Medical Industry(ACHC). ● I conducted financial statement analysis on the 2 stocks and other candidate companies which included reviewing the 10Ks, 10Qs and other SEC documents along with performing ratio analysis. Assessed the firm’s business prospects including revenue drivers, strategies and competitive positioning was an important component of my daily job.
