MultiStrat is a Bermuda-based specialty reinsurer founded to partner with asset managers and investors to combine world class asset managers with structured risk to create nigh yielding, non-correlated Total Return investment opportunities. Since 2012 we have successfully launched 7 Bermuda reinsurers. In 2017, we were the pioneered of the Casualty Linked Security (CLS) extending the successful CAT Bond model to the low risk, working layers of reinsurance having placed transactions representing ~$1bn in assets.

Plan B was launched to raise deposits via online platforms for the banks affiliated with Specialty Finance Bank (Malta) and was subsequently spun out independently. It received private equity investment in 2014 and was sold in 2017 and yielded a 7X return of capital.

Specialty Finance Bank was launched in the wake of the financial crisis to be a wholesale bank serving specialty lenders based on my experience with asset backed lending since 1997. It was licensed, recruited a world class Board, fully funded for a year of operation and had substantial balance sheet backing when the Regulators changed the rules - Malta lost the fight with Brussels.

Tara raised ~2bn euros for high profile hedge funds then sold out to a public company, Absolute Capital, as it went public. I sourced this deal and was a partner in Caydal Family Office which invested the seed capital into Tara and exited with a 7x return on capital.

I advised on or was a principal and raised the initial capital in the launch of X funds during this period, including: Da Vinci Capital (enhanced cash), Buckminster Capital (volatility arb), Arrowhead Capital (wholesales transaction finance), and Dragon Futures Ltd. (mobile phone trading). In all raising $330 for these early stage funds. All of which have wound down by now.
