Following an eventful four-year journey, Sandvik pivoted toward decentralization, prompting me to once again play a pivotal part in reestablishing the IT landscape for Seco Tools across APAC countries. This journey has been a testament to my adaptability, leadership, and technical acumen in navigating complex organizational transitions while delivering consistent excellence.In this capacity, I held a multifaceted role, representing the Seco APAC region within the Global IT Management team and anchoring the IT function within the APAC business management team. An orchestrator of strategic shifts, my tenure witnessed substantial transformations:Firstly, for Seco Tools India, we strategically outsourced IT infrastructure support and data center management to a third-party. Additionally, for South East Asian countries (6 in total), we efficiently leveraged our parent company 's IT support. Notably, for Japan and Korea, we forged partnerships with third-party for comprehensive IT services.A pivotal acquisition in China necessitated my active involvement in the M&A process. Subsequently, I facilitated the seamless integration of the acquired company into Seco Tools by aligning their IT infrastructure, business processes, and applications with our established standards.Under my guidance, we successfully implemented M3 ERP across 11 Asian countries, a role I undertook as the Portfolio and Project Manager. This monumental initiative not only streamlined operations but also standardized our business processes.Throughout this transformative journey, a comprehensive assessment of local applications across these Asian countries led to a strategic consolidation, resulting in a streamlined and more efficient application portfolio.My tenure underscores my adeptness at leading intricate transformations, collaborating across diverse geographies, and aligning IT strategies with overarching business goals, all while fostering innovation and operational excellence.

Amidst the acquisition of Seco Tools by Sandvik, which led to the centralization of support functions including IT, I assumed a pivotal role in orchestrating this transformation while seamlessly upholding IT services to Seco Tools. My focus extended to ensuring the smooth transition of IT team members into their new roles within the consolidated organization, safeguarding their career paths.As the 'Head of Business Services,' I undertook the responsibility of managing local IT applications vital for Indian operations, comprising both locally developed solutions and third-party outsourced applications, along with the operation of global applications from the Indian hub. Concurrently, I spearheaded an adept IT development team, crafting bespoke IT solutions for diverse Sandvik group entities across the globe. My leadership encompassed a spectrum of technologies, ranging from M3/SAP/SOPIC ERP systems to Java/.Net development and mobile solutions, as well as various IT support tools, catering to the multifaceted demands of Sandvik's subsidiaries.Adding to my portfolio, I took on the role of IT Demand Manager for Seco Tools across APAC countries, assuring the seamless delivery of necessary IT services from Sandvik IT to Seco Tools' APAC operations.

Upon the acquisition of an Indian enterprise by the Swedish multinational Seco, I was entrusted with the pivotal role of orchestrating a comprehensive overhaul of the company's IT landscape to align with Seco's global standards. In the initial year, I led the establishment of a cutting-edge IT framework, encompassing the deployment of a robust data center, WAN and LAN networks, server architecture, and uniform client standards.Subsequently, I orchestrated the seamless integration of Seco's widely utilized ERP system, MOVEX, into the Indian operations. This harmonized the local business processes with global norms. During this transformative journey, I took charge of establishing an APAC IT Support service center, catering to end-user requirements across multiple Asian nations, including India.Additionally, I spearheaded the setup of a competence center dedicated to delivering IT development expertise and ERP functional architecture solutions to Seco's Group IT function. As the tenure evolved, I successfully executed a significant ERP upgrade, transitioning the Indian operations to the advanced M3 version of MOVEX.My contributions not only streamlined the IT infrastructure but also elevated the Indian subsidiary to a central competence hub, aligned with Seco's global vision and bolstering operational excellence across the APAC region.

As an IT Manager, I played a pivotal role in establishing YKK, a prominent Japanese multinational, during its initial foray into India. I spearheaded the creation of the complete IT setup from the ground up. This encompassed assembling and leading a skilled team, ERP implementation and upgrade, orchestrating the Application landscape needed for Indian Business, setup of a state-of-the-art data center, implementing robust IT processes, achieving ISO27001 compliance, and crafting a resilient multisite networking framework. By the time of my departure, our efforts had transformed the Indian division into a premier competence center, equipped with world-class IT capabilities, ready to support adjacent nations.
