Bridging Business Finance requirements with tech-related infrastructure to deliver high-quality and robust enterprise-level Financial systems. The role aimed to bring together Upstream Commercial and Operational systems to integrate with downstream Financial systems through world-class end-to-end global process landscapes for each product within Logistics and Services at Maersk.

Stabilisation of a recent SAP reimplementation project which was rolled out globally. Working with all the regional liner operations clusters around the globe, and also with the global service centres on process stabilisation to increase data quality and improve efficiencies. Work with multiple stakeholders across locations and regions to realise value of the project through designing feasible solutions that caters to a standard solution.

SAP Reimplementation project lead for West and Central Asia Region (Feb 2013 till March 2014). Key liaison with Centre Operations BPO team for the SAP reimplementation project. Assisted with design of the system and extensive testing of the product before implementation, and preparation of a thorough plan to implement project with minimum exposure to risks. Super User for the region and also assisted the Global Service Centre teams to be completely aligned with business before implementation of the project. Responsible for a portfolio of USD 700 Million for cost and to ensure that cost is kept at a bare minimum for the region to maintain operational efficiencies and higher productivity. Consistently high performer on managing crossteam operational cost savings projects(USD 8.2 Mil Saving 2012, USD 15 Mil 2011). Close monitoring of cost for all activities for the shipping lines which includes the ports/ terminals/ marine/ fuel costs/ cargo movements etc. Target is to ensure that the West and Central Asia Ops team has the lowest Average Unit Cost in the Maersk World. Also incharge of consolidation of reports for all the countries within the region and reporting to the Operations Director on all aspects regarding Cost Management.

Manager for Oman, handling 3 locations, namely Muscat, Salalah and Sohar. Responsible for all matters related to Finance for the country at Agency level. Maintaining cash flows and costs for the agency. Responsible for the audits and preparations of P&L and Balance sheets and reporting same to the Sr. Cluster Finance GM in Dubai and further reporting to Copenhagen, Denmark. Played a major lead in Implementation of SAP for UAE/OMAN and Qatar and also Integration of Standard Chartered Bank to SAP systems.
