My research goals include the following:-- Understanding how society "gets under its members' skin" and causes inequalities in health and mortality;-- Exploring how urbanization and urbanism further stratify these inequalities based on one's location relative to the urban environment;-- Documenting my findings from these endeavors for peer review and publication, and;-- Translating these bodies of scholarship for purposes of policy relevance and public health education.
