About Jade Tran
Greetings! I am a fourth-year student studying multi-platform journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. I plan on graduating in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. I plan to pursue a career in print and political journalism but am open to broadcast opportunities and more.As far as experience goes, I am proficient with the AP Stylebook, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and WordPress. I also have received credits in intro-level coding classes of HTML, CSS, and minimal Javascript. Outside of academia, I have found pleasure in creative writing such as poetry and prose, as well as novel writing.I am currently involved with three campus publications: The Diamondback, The Observer UMD, and The Black Explosion. I am the deputy editor of the diversions desk at The Diamondback. For The Black Explosion, I have published a personal excerpt of my future memoir as well as some poetry.
