I practice in all areas of patent and trademark law, with a particular emphasis on patent prosecution and enforcement. My clients include semiconductor companies, oil field services companies, medical device manufacturers, gaming companies, and consumer product companies. In addition to procuring and enforcing patents for my clients, I am frequently asked to assist them in analyzing intellectual property of their competitors and to provide guidance and assistance as they develop new products so as to avoid infringing IP of other parties. I also have experience handling proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board at the U.S. Patent Office, such as requests for Ex Parte Reexamination and Inter Partes Review proceedings. I also work with many foreign companies and law firms to file U.S. patent applications based on applications previously filed in foreign countries. In addition to patent matters, I regularly counsel clients on issues regarding trademark clearance searching and trademark registration.
