I have examined worldwide on both the Classical and Jazz, and Rock and Pop panels.I have also contributed to creating Syllabi, and have presented the piano syllabus in conjunction with EPTA, across the UK and Ireland.

I worked to restructure the festival and appoint a world class Board of Trustees, streamline the syllabus, and secure a significant amount of funding to ensure its survival, after it faced bankruptcy at the start of my tenure.

I was an A level Team Leader for 7 years, overseeing and moderating a team of examiners, and contributed to standardisation sessions for many years.

I set up from scratch a department that established an enduring culture of music in the school. Over my time at the school I started a full instrumental and class music programme, and we entered hundreds of students for external examinations, and founded the School Orchestra.

In my role as Director of the Hertfordshire Youth Jazz Ensemble, I designed many courses and Concerts, and worked with many leading British Jazz musicians, including Django Bates and Human Chain, Mark Lockhart, Jeffery Wilson, John Crawford, Clark Tracey, Mark Armstrong and Pete Long.
