As the only voting, teenage member of the Board, I worked alongside Y executives to identify issues and develop improvement plans for existing activities and initiate new youth programs.

Recruited 10 active local teens to be a part of the Youth and Teen Advisory Board at my local YMCA. With the goal of improving the experience of underprivileged youth at the Y, we then created three programs including a LGBT support group for teens, a “caravan” camp, and a mock trial program in the Y.

Worked as an intern in the campaign for Proposition 37 to label genetically modified organisms. As an intern, my duties included running and organizing phone banks, canvassing, and organizing and recruiting other interns.
