As a Scientist IV at Spatial Front Inc., I work with NOAA’s Office of Coast Survey, focusing on the development and implementation of S-100 standards, specifically S-104 (Water Level Information) and S-111 (Surface Currents). My background includes a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from Nova Southeastern University, where I investigated geomagnetic noise resulting from ocean processes using MATLAB for in-depth data analysis.During my time at the Physical Oceanography Laboratory at Nova Southeastern University, I specialized in validating numerical models and ANSYS Fluent CFD models, leveraging in-situ data from a variety of instruments, including ADCPs, CTDs, pressure sensors, Slocum G3 gliders, and scalar magnetometers. Our unique approach involved using data from our deployed instruments as initial conditions for model validation. My dissertation research was funded by organizations such as ONR, NavAir, and NRL. I am passionate about advancing the field of physical oceanography and welcome opportunities to connect, collaborate, and share insights with fellow professionals.
