I was recalled to assist the management staff as they incorporated additional volume into their schedule. The advantage was that I had been there for 3 years and knew the staff, and the operation. We were successful at meeting the additional volume challenge, however the company had already decided that they could redistribute the volume from our plant to their other facilities once they had completed some additional construction. In returning, I assisted both the production and distribution managers, worked with both the maintenance and quality managers as needed and generally facilitated end of production daily procedures, and load out completion.

Manage all facets of the production process of the dairy. Incoming raw milk testing, storing, and sanitizing. Oversee the production of blow-molding jugs. Scheduling the production for gallon, half gallon and pint machines and scheduling production for soft-serve mix. managing the inventory for both incoming and outgoing materials raw goods to finished product. Oversaw the production of plastic jugs for the sister plant in Memphis and took over production for their plant while they recovered from an on-site fire. Worked closely with the quality manager on setting up, writing, and recording quality procedures for production and sanitation. Worked with Shipping manager on preparing loads for daily routes and monitoring controlled temperatures both within the plant and on the refrigerated trailers. Learned State milk production standards and continued education in processing standards at annual meetings, and continued education in management training sessions with outside contractors. Worked with plant manager setting production goals and improving safety and employee morale.
