Sales position with the Insurance division of Western & Southern Financial Group. Through appointments and prospecting, my duties were to analyze client needs and use financial concepts to develop tailored solutions for each client. Products that I provided directly or indirectly included Life/Health insurance, retirement funding, and variable products. I resigned in early October 2013 before the North Wilkesboro branch office closed.

I was part of an auditing team employed by UASI, contracted to Appalachian Regional Healthcare Systems. The contract was for two hospitals in the system: Watauga Medical Center and Cannon Memorial Hospital. I worked closely with employees in Medical Records, Coding, Patient Accounts and other individuals at both hospitals. Main duty involved data-mining in patient account lists for all insurance types, (excluding Medicare and Medicaid). Specific targets were patient visits that complied with UASI audit standards and I provided copies of itemized-statements and charts (when necessary) to the main UASI auditor on site. Following completion of individual audits, I was responsible for adding new charges and describing reasons for additions in QUADRAMED. During my time at this position, I maintained 2.5 years of audit records. I resigned from this position, in order to return to the East Carolina University MBA program full time.
