Jeff Kessler Email and Phone Number
Jeff Kessler holds a PhD from the University of California in energy and climate policy. Jeff has 20 years of experience working on low carbon fuels, grid decarbonization, and the Low Carbon Fuel Standard. Jeff led the transportation fuel decarbonization modeling efforts at CARB for 8 years, including development of the California Transportation Supply (CATS) model, and currently leads the technical work being done on Building Embodied Carbon. His ongoing research and analysis is used to directly inform and enhance regulations that drive the decarbonization of California's economy. Jeff has expertise in energy and climate policy, techno-economic modeling, policy-efficacy evaluation, statistical modeling, and data management and processing for large data sets. He has spent over a decade modeling transportation fuel supply and energy supply for California markets, and has developed numerous regulatory provisions for California's GHG emissions reduction regulations.Follow Jeff on Twitter @JKessler_PhDSpecialties: Low Carbon Fuel Standard, building electrification, renewable energy and renewable electricity, natural gas decarbonization, technology innovation, energy and climate policy, biofuels, electric vehicles, biomethane, industrial decarbonization.
