As Production Editor I chased 100 or so contributors (and staff) for their material when it was due and then made sure the printers received the pages on time - we never missed a deadline! As Cruising Editor it was more a question of: 'Going where the weather suits your clothes' and then writing about it - or reading accounts from others who had 'been where the weather suited their clothes' and editing it from 'wow' into 'why, where, when and how'.
