I began as an archery floor sales team member. In March 2004 was promoted to archery lead. I prepare the store for opening and closing. Work with vendors, dept leads and managers to ensure proper merchandise is on the floor for the needs of the area. I train outfitters to be future leads and managers and am responsible for monthly store meetings to offer encouragement as well as keep the outfitters on task with the Cabela’s culture.With the help of our Managers and leads we won merchandised store of the year for 2012. April 2013 we had a change in our positions as managers in the store. Our Operations manager became our new soft line manager. He has had no prior training in merchandising and sales were down in the men’s, women’s and children’s apparel. With my help and guidance on product pushes and merchandising we have now as a team have turned sales around and are looking at a strong recovery for these departments to meet or exceeding projected quarterly goals. I work with the community as a Cabela’s professional as well as a neighbor promoting Cabela’s outdoor lifestyle and community involvement.

I worked closely with our team in Portland to help implement new ideas for increasing sales and overall rose profits each year until the company relocated to Michigan.
