I'm a future Information Security Professional, specializing in network and database security. I was drawn to this field by a life-long fascination with the inner workings of technology, combined with a strong conviction that people deserve to have someone fighting behind the scenes to protect their private data. People have enough going on in life without having to worry about whether their electric company's payment processor uses the right cipher suites, or whether their credit card company is salting their password hashes. It is sad that someone's life could be ruined by something that is incomprehensible to them.This passion brought me to Southwest Tennessee Community College, where I am pursuing an A.A.S. in Computer Information Technology with dual concentrations in Cyber Defense and networking. I also plan to obtain the CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications. While at Southwest, my goal is to complete an internship which will give me invaluable on-the-ground experience. I believe that my Tenacity and dedication will be an asset to any company with a determination to make securing their systems a top priority.
