Coordination of bidding to funding programs and technological planning of major Information Society projects, namely: Braga Digital (approved, 14,7M€), Vale do Cávado Digital, Vale do Minho Digital (Approved, 6M€) and Vale do Ave Digital (involvement in the first phase of project planning);Coordination and partner liaison activities in preparation of national and EU financed projects;Supervision of university graduation projects.I was responsible for the preparation, submission and follow-up of Digital Cities’ projects to the Portuguese financing program for information society. The preparation phase involved designing the project macro-architecture and, in collaboration with the partners, the specific architecture and the inter-operability issues among systems. Along this technical process, other aspects had to be handled namely: (i) defining the cost structure and developing the project budget; (ii) elaborating the work breakdown structure and its scheduling, the monitoring and communication plans; and (iii) defining the structure of the project management team.During the preparation of the proposals and after their submission several meetings were held with the technical and management teams of the governmental funding organization in order to fine-tune the proposals to the funding program and its accounting and monitoring mechanisms.
