Having been diagnosed with PCOS myself in 1995, it is my primary objective, through 1in10, to educate the public about PCOS, support the women who are diagnosed and help their families and friends become a better support system for them.We have made it a priority at 1in10 to base the information we provide on medical research and a solid understanding of the female body. It is important to us, being in the public health education sector, not to get trapped by marketing hype or trends. Just as important is our promise to all of the women we connect with to continue to serve and support them regardless of financing or funding. While it is our goal to have PCOS recognized as a public health issue, and we can only do this via corporate and individual sponsorship, we are, at our core, a grassroots organization run by women with PCOS for women with PCOS - and are fully committed to serving the PCOS community.
