In my role in Human Resources Operations at Texas Instruments (TI), I play a pivotal role in managing complex programs, effecting change through cross-functional and international teams, and supporting business needs by solving a variety of HR problems. Some of my responsibilities include:Immigration program management: I help TI secure and retain the best talent in the world through our immigration program. I manage relationships with key legal vendors, serve as a subject matter expert and liaison for our employees and HR teams, and facilitate critical processes. I have redesigned TI’s PERM recruitment program, executed H-1B CAP registration, and evaluated our internal processes and policies to improve the employee experience through the Green Card process. This role has also given me the opportunity to develop an expertise in I-9 verification and management.HR systems optimization: my role gives me the opportunity to connect HR and business needs to the technology that can make life easier. I have worked on many projects with our HRIS platforms that help manage employee lifecycle events (hiring, onboarding, termination) as well as improve processes for a variety of functions.COVID-19 program management: as every company has navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I am proud of the work I have done to keep TI employees safe in our workplace.General HR Operations advisory services: I serve as a trusted partner for our HR teams, employees, vendors, and other stakeholders to address myriad questions and needs. I have established myself as a jack of all trades problem solver that helps our company get important work done quickly.

In my role as an advisor at Business Career Services in the Gies College of Business, I serve as a point of support for undergraduate and graduate business students. I provide valuable career related services including resume and cover letter review, mock interview practice, and answer questions about our office. Additionally, I help facilitate corporate partner events and promotional activities within the College of Business.

In my role as a Resident Advisor (RA) for the University of Illinois' Graduate and Upper Division Halls, I serve as a resource and point of contact for a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students. I strive to create an inclusive and welcoming community where all students are comfortable to learn, grow, and thrive. I work with campus partners to produce engaging programmatic events that educate students on social justice, engaged citizenship, interpersonal competence, and academic success. I also connect with residents through Intentional Conversations (i-Convos) that allow students to explore these topics in a safe and individualized atmosphere.Additionally, I serve on an on-call rotation to respond to urgent student concerns including but not limited to facilities emergencies, immediate questions, and crisis situations.

After two years serving as a Student Advisor (Resident Advisor) I advanced into a professional level role as a Community Coordinator. This position gave me the opportunity to recruit, train, and supervise 17 Student Advisors. I developed comprehensive training materials, facilitated interactive training sessions, and conducted performance evaluations on job progress throughout the academic year. In addition, I planned and led weekly staff meetings that created continuous training opportunities and fostered a positive team dynamic.I was responsible for overseeing, staffing, and operating a 22.5 hour per day Hall Desk which provided important services to residents of my building. As the primary point of supervisory contact for a staff of 30 Desk Associates, Mail Clerks, and Night Monitors, I ensured all student workers were properly trained, worked their requisite number of hours, and had work schedules that accommodated classes and other activities.

My role as a Student Advisor (Resident Advisor) helped me develop many of the skills I most value today. I created inclusive, involved, and engaged communities while helping two new classes of college freshmen transition into campus life. Ensuring each of my residents was equipped with the resources they needed to succeed was a top priority. I was challenged to resolve conflicts between roommates though creative mediation techniques. By putting on educational and interactive programs, I successfully supplemented the education students were receiving in class.In my second year as a Student Advisor, I had the opportunity to work with a committee tasked with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting professional staff level employees. This committee allowed me to collaborate on a purpose driven project to ensure top tier candidates were being brought onto our team.
